REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON (2011-12): Returned from injury and started all 30 games at the point guard position and earned third-team all-Sun Belt Conference honors…Led the club in scoring with 12.1 points per game - 13th in the conference…Ranked second on the club in three-point shooting at 31.4 percent (57-of-172)…Tied for third in the SBC in three-pointers per game (1.8) and ranked 11th in three-point shooting…Was also one of the top free-throw shooters in the league, ranking third connecting on 79.2 percent of her attempts at the charity stripe…Had games of three or more free throws 14 times…Averaged 2.1 assists per game…Led the club in steals with 39…Scored double-figures in a team-best 19 games, including three 20-point outings…Led the club in scoring 13 times…Had a career-high 23 points at Tennessee State (Dec. 3) on 6-of-12 shooting…Was also 9-of-12 at the foul line versus the Tigers…Recorded 21 points in USA’s victory over Florida Atlantic (Feb. 1) on 7-of-12 shooting…Also added five assists and zero turnovers versus the Owls…Recorded an all-around game against Western Kentucky (Feb. 18) with 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and a career-high six steals…Posted 20 points at Louisiana-Monroe (Feb. 11)…Also had a career-high eight rebounds versus the Warhawks…Awarded the Female Perseverance Award and the Lady Jag Basketball TEDs Award at the athletic department’s third annual Pete Tolbert Night of Champions...Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.
JUNIOR SEASON (2010-11): Received a medical hardship after only competing in nine games for South Alabama due to a knee injury…Prior to the injury, El was averaging 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in 12.9 minutes of action…Best outing came against Southern Miss (Nov. 16) where she scored 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including three treys…Was also 3-for-3 at the foul line…Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.
AT TALLAHASSEE (FLA.) COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2009-10): Played for Teresa Atkinson at Tallahassee Community College in Tallahassee, Fla…Helped the Lady Eagles finish the season with a 20-9 record…TCC also finished the year ranked 12th in the nation in the final NJCAA poll…Led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 13.5 points per outing and hit a team-best 52 three-pointers, en route to picking up first-team all-conference honors…Had a team-high 68 assists, 30 steals and shot 77.3 percent at the free-throw line…Best game of the season came against Chipola where she recorded a season-high 24 points.
AT NORTH TEXAS (2008-09): Played her freshman season at Sun Belt Conference member North Texas…Averaged 6.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg and became the only true freshman in school history to start 29 games for the Mean Green…Hit 35.8 percent of her attempts from long range…Dished out a team-leading 72 assists, which is the third most for a freshman in school history…In upset win at Arkansas State in the SBC Tournament, tied her career-high with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists…Had 11 games with three assists or more.
AT CY-FAIR HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three years in basketball at Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, Texas…Helped lead Cy-Fair (38-2) to its first-ever state championship, capturing the class 5A title as a senior…Cy-Fair also ended the season ranked fifth nationally by ESPN.com…Was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts at the state tournament…Averaged seven points a game as a senior and hit 43 percent of her three-pointers…Was named to the TABC all-region team during her senior season…Was a first-team District 17-5A selection and a Class 5A Region III selection as a junior in 2006…Averaged 11 points a game as a junior…Named to the first-team all-district squad her sophomore season…Named to the 2007 Preseason All-Greater Houston Girls Basketball second team by the Houston Chronicle…Cy-Fair, was ranked No. 1 in Class 5A and entered the 2007 season as the third-ranked team in the nation, according to ESPN.com…During her three seasons at Cy-Fair, helped the team record a 113-4 record…Also lettered one season in tennis.
