BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – South Alabama women's tennis competed at the Samford Round Robin from Sept. 25-27, led by true freshman
Isabella Pisarczyk, who went undefeated in singles.
HOW IT PLAYED OUT:
Day One:
- The Jags split two doubles matches with Samford, with Jana Rovira and Isabella Pisarczyk defeating a Bulldog pair, 6-3. True freshmen Pisarczyk and Emma Jane Hamilton earned South Alabama's victories in the singles draw against Jacksonville State, both in three sets.
Day Two:
- Kenza Elakili and Emma Jane Hamilton won their first doubles match of the tournament, defeating a pair from UAB 7-6(5). The Jags then went 3-1 in singles, with Rovira, Elakili and Pisarczyk earning wins against Samford.
Day Three:
- The Jags won both doubles matches against Jacksonville State with victories by Elakili/Hamilton and Rovira/Pisarczyk, the latter pair winning in a tiebreak. Rovira and Pisarczyk won their singles matches, Pisarczyk winning in two sets.

The Jags will compete in the Mercer Gridiron Classic on Oct. 2-4 in Macon, Ga.
