MOBILE, Ala. - The South Alabama cross country team will compete in four regular-season meets before the Sun Belt Conference Championship, the program announced Wednesday as part of its 2026 schedule.
For the second straight year, the Jaguars will open the season on Sept. 4 with a trip to New Orleans for the Battle for New Orleans meet, hosted by the University of New Orleans and Jacksonville State.Â
Just over a week later, South Alabama will hit the road again, this time heading to Huntsville, Alabama, for the Southern Showcase on Sept. 18.Â
Closing out the month, South Alabama will again host its cross-country meet, the Azalea City Classic, on Sept. 26. The Jaguars finish the 2026 regular season on Oct. 16 with a trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to compete in the Crimson Tide Invite, hosted by Alabama.
The SBC Championship meet will take place in Foley, Ala., on Oct. 30, leading up to the NCAA Regionals, which will be held in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 13, before ultimately concluding with NCAA Nationals in Terre Haute, IN, on Nov. 21.
