HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – South Alabama dropped its final road game of the regular season Monday night, falling 84–80 to Marshall inside the Cam Henderson Center. The Jaguars move to 19–8 overall and 9–5 in Sun Belt play.

Marshall came out red hot from beyond the arc, knocking down 12 three-pointers in the first half and building a 48–35 lead at the break.

The Herd pushed its advantage to as many as 16 early in the second half following a three-pointer at the 16:24 mark, putting the Jags in a 57–41 hole.

The Jaguars had multiple late opportunities, including a pair of second-chance looks in the final seconds, but could not get the tying or go-ahead basket to fall as Marshall secured the 84–80 decision.
