MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Soccer is set to host two matches at The Cage this week. The Jags will host MTSU at 6 p.m. tomorrow and Southeastern Louisiana for Senior Night at 6 p.m. on Sunday (8/31).
SERIES HISTORY VS. MTSU:
The Jags are 6-9-2 overall against the Blue Raiders, with their last match resulting in a 4-3 win in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Sept. 12, 2024.
SERIES HISTORY VS. SLU:
The Jags are 9-1-1 overall against the Lions, with their last match resulting in a 2-1 win in Hammond, La., on Aug. 25, 2024.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
The Jags host the Blue Riders after earning a 2-0 victory over Louisiana Tech on Sunday.
Ava Matherne and
Bonnie Frost were the Jags' scorers, Frost with a header and Matherne beating out defenders to shoot a rocket into the roof of the net.
SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS:
MTSU heads into the match after a 3-0-1 start to the season. Four rookies have scored for the Blue Raiders this season, including Mya Stenehjem, Olivia Best, Alli Craig and Scottie Newton.
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
SLU heads into Sunday's match after going 0-3 to start the season. Charlotte Lewis scored the first strike of the season for the Lions against Jackson State on Sunday, Aug. 24.
SENIOR DAY:
Before Sunday's match, eight seniors will be honored, including
