MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Soccer is set to kick off the 2025 season against LSU tomorrow at 7 p.m. at LSU Soccer Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
SERIES HISTORY
The Jags are 1-6 overall against the Tigers, their last match resulting in a loss in The Cage on Aug. 15, 2024.
SCOUTING THE JAGS
South heads into this season after closing out last year with a 10-6-3 record and the Sun Belt's Offensive Player of the Year –
Irene Campo. The Jags lost 14 players, but are returning 12, including
Bonnie Frost,
Melina Descary and
Juliana Lopes. The Jags added 12 to their fall class, including
Aliya Gomes (Pittsburgh),
Andrea Iljkic (LSU) and
Sierra Giorgio (Oklahoma).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
The Tigers finished 9-9-3 last season, including an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. LSU gained 10 signees this fall, six of whom are internationals. Notably, the Tigers are returning Isa Hermannsdoffir, who led the team with eight goals and 16 points.
