MOBILE, Ala. – Four former South Alabama football players, DJ Thomas-Jones, Jamaal Pritchett, Jeremiah Webb, and Wy'kevious Thomas signed undrafted free agent contracts Saturday night following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Thomas-Jones signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pritchett joined the New York Jets, Thomas is headed to the Seattle Seahawks, and Webb signed with the New England Patriots.
Pritchett is coming off a stellar senior season in which he earned First-Team All-Sun Belt honors and competed in the prestigious Reese's Senior Bowl. He finished the year by tying the South Alabama program record for most catches in a single season, hauling in 91 receptions for 1,126 yards and nine touchdowns.
Thomas-Jones, a reliable presence at tight end over three seasons, played in 36 games and recorded 73 receptions for 610 yards and 11 touchdowns, including three scores in his final year.
A four-year starter at defensive tackle, Thomas was named Second-Team All-Sun Belt in 2024. He appeared in 66 career games, posting 176 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks. He joins former Jaguar Jamie Sheriff in Seattle, who made the Seahawks' roster last season as an undrafted free agent.
Webb had a phenomenal last season for the Jaguars, recording 36 receptions for 649 yards and five touchdowns on the year. His standout moment came in Montgomery, where he set a bowl record with six catches for 182 yards and two touchdowns to earn IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl Most Valuable Player Honors.
These four additions continue South Alabama's growing presence in the NFL. Current Jaguars in the league include Jalen Tolbert and Darrell Luter Jr. of the Dallas Cowboys, Jamie Sheriff of the Seahawks, and Jeremy Reaves of the Washington Commanders.
