BOONE, N.C.- The Jaguars outlasted App State in Boone as they extended their winning streak to six with a 4-3 victory. 

The Jaguars got off to a quick start with a win by forfeit and would claim the doubles point with Lara van der Merwe and Manal Ennaciri picking up the 6-4 victory in the #3 position. 

South engaged in a fierce back-and-forth with the Mountaineers as singles play began. Delien Kleinhans, in the #1 spot, grabbed the 6-4, 6-4 win that was followed by Chems Doha Zeghlouli downing her opponent 6-4, 6-2. After the Mountaineers evened things at three, Lara van der Merwe for the second straight match, willed the Jaguars to victory as she defeated her opponent in a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 final. 

"Very gusty win by the girls today", said head coach Dr. Jaco Keyser. "Overall, not the best quality of play but winning on the road is not easy within conference play therefore we should value scratching out a tight win. We need to rest up and get back on the practice courts tomorrow to hopefully correct a few things and be ready for a tough Marshall team on Sunday".

South will stay on the road as they travel to West Virginia to face Marshall at 10:00 AM CT this Sunday.
