MOBILE, Ala. – Facing a 3-1 deficit, South Alabama Men's Tennis fought back to force a few third sets, but could not complete the comeback as Jacksonville State held on to win 4-2 Saturday afternoon.

The loss dropped the Jaguars to 2-5 overall for the season.

After dropping the doubles point, the Jags got a few better performances in singles play. Javier Montoya put together a strong performance at the No. 1 position, defeating his Gamecock opponent 6-2, 6-4 to get South on the board. He was followed by Harold van Raemdonck who continued his undefeated streak on the season with a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Raemdonck moved to 6-0 in singles play with the win.
