QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
On the game tonight: We just, we didn't do enough of anything tonight. We got on him early, left some runners on base early, and lacked that big hit. I mean, it was 2-1 going into the sixth. So, you know, the seventh and eighth innings got us just got away from us. We didn't pressure them enough offensively. I mean, we got five hits tonight and they got 13. They won the last two innings, the last three innings of the game. And that's, that's that just none of it was good enough tonight. None of it. We didn't pitch well enough. We didn't hit well enough. Couple guys did well I thought. I thought Brooks gave us a good start, kept us in position through, you know, 68 pitches kept us right in position. I thought Gorman was really good coming into the bullpen under duress. You know, gave up a couple of hits there in his second inning, the long ball, I believe. This is a team game. We all wear it, and we are not clicking enough on all facets anywhere. There's some parts of it that are good, but right now, the parts of it that are bad are really hurting us, so we need to collect ourselves. No one's going to feel sorry for us. We got a very good club coming in here tomorrow, and we need to be ready to play bottom line. We need to do everything better. We need to pitch better. We need to hit better. We need to defend better. We need to do everything better. Are they capable of doing it? I most certainly believe that they are. Have we done it in the last four games? Not enough. Not enough. So I'll be looking to see how they respond tomorrow.
