BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball dominated UAB in the Magic City on Saturday, winning 91-68. The Jaguars are now 2-0, their performance highlighted by five Jaguars scoring in double-figures.
QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS:
- 1Q: Cordasia Harris led the way, putting up 10 points in the paint. The Jags also went on a 7-0 run, highlighted by two layups from Cordasia Harris and a three-pointer from Ronaltha Marc.
- 2Q: The Jaguars and the Blazers entered the quarter tied at 21. It got off to a slow start, the Jags down 10 with five minutes on the clock. Then, Ronaltha Marc led the Jags in a comeback effort to lead UAB at the half, 41-39. Marc had a notable performance, going 4-6 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc.
- 3Q: The Jaguars were hot in the third, going 12-0 in four minutes. JuCo transfer Amyah Sutton recorded nine points and three field goals, two of which were three-pointers.
- 4Q: South Alabama scored 29 points, the highest of the other three quarters. The Jags went 5-6 from beyond the arc, with two players being perfect: Diawna Carter-Hartley (3-3) and Daniela Gonzalez (2-2).
