MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's basketball head coach Richie Riley announced the Jaguars' 2025–26 schedule Wednesday afternoon.
South Alabama will first take the floor in an exhibition matchup against West Florida on Oct. 28 at the Mitchell Center.The Jaguars will tip off the season on the road at Toledo on Nov. 3 in the MAC-SBC Challenge, before returning home to open their regular-season slate against Alcorn State on Nov. 6.
Highlighting the Jaguars' non-conference schedule are five home contests, including matchups with Alcorn State (Nov. 6) and Spring Hill (Nov. 8), as well as a trip to the Showdown in St. Pete, a multi-team event hosted at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. South Alabama will face Central Michigan (Nov. 13) and Coppin State (Nov. 15) during the event.
The Jags will also travel for several notable in-state road matchups, visiting Jacksonville State (Nov. 19) and UAB (Nov. 21), along with non-conference trips to UTSA (Nov. 30) and East Tennessee State (Dec. 5). After nearly a month away from home, South Alabama returns to The Mitchell Center for a marquee non-conference showdown with North Texas on Dec. 14.
In a change from recent seasons, South Alabama will play three Sun Belt Conference games before the new year. League action begins Dec. 17 at ULM, followed by road contests at Texas State (Dec. 20) and Louisiana (Dec. 31) for a New Year's Eve matchup. The Jaguars will then open 2026 at archrival Troy on Jan. 3.
The Jaguars' final road swing of the year includes games at Southern Miss (Feb. 12) and Arkansas State (Feb. 14) before closing the regular season with a four-game homestand at The Mitch — hosting Texas State (Feb. 19), Troy (Feb. 21), ULM (Feb. 25), and Southern Miss (Feb. 27) in the regular-season finale.
South Alabama will then turn its focus to the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, set for March 4–10 at the Pensacola Bay Center.
