MOBILE, Ala.- South Alabama women's tennis will welcome West Florida this Sunday at 2 PM at Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts after a dominating 6-1 victory over West Alabama Thursday afternoon. 

South Alabama opened their season Thursday afternoon with a convincing 6-1 victory over West Alabama in which the Jaguars won two doubles sets and five singles matches. 

Sunday afternoon's match will be West Florida's season opener. The Argonauts are coming off a 12-11 season in which they competed well in conference play, maintaining a 7-3 record. 

The Argonauts bring back eight returners and have six newcomers for the 2025 regular season. 

The Jaguars are coming off a 16-5 season a year ago that saw South go 8-2 in Sun Belt play while maintaining a perfect record at home for the second season in a row. 

South Alabama is 17-0 all-time against West Florida with the last meeting resulting in a 7-0 victory exactly one year ago. 

All home tennis matches will be at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts and admission is free.
