MOBILE, Ala. – Former South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett has received an invitation to play in the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl.
 
Pritchett is the 12th South Alabama alum to be invited to the Senior Bowl.
 
The invitation was extended by Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy along with South Alabama Head Coach Major Applewhite at Wednesday night's South Alabama Men's Basketball game.
 
Pritchett played three seasons in a South Alabama uniform, joining the Jaguars ahead of the 2022 campaign. He was a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection and led the Jags to three bowl game appearances in three seasons. He was also named Offensive MVP of the 2023 68. Ventures Bowl, the first bowl championship in program history. Pritchett finished his time in Mobile with the second-most touchdown catches in program history (17), the third-most receiving yards (2,033) and the fifth-most receptions (150).
 
In 2024, Pritchett was one of the most dynamic playmakers in the country. He won the race to become the Sun Belt's first 1,000-yard receiver, and finished as the leading receiver in the league with 1,126 yards. Pritchett also tied the South Alabama single-season record for touchdown catches with nine, ranking him second in the Sun Belt in that category. Pritchett was a true go-to target on the year with 91 total receptions. That was 25 more than the next-best receiver in that category in the Sun Belt, and it tied a South Alabama single-season record. He also averaged 7.6 receptions per game, also the most in the league. The Jackson, Ala. native led the conference in average yards per game at 93.8. On a national level, Pritchett ranked sixth in the country in receptions per game, 15th in receiving touchdowns, seventh in receiving yards, seventh in receiving yards per game and 38th in the country in all-purpose yardage.
 
The 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl will be played in South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 1. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on NFL Network.
