South Announces Updates to Jags Radio Network for Football

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Athletics has announced changes to the Jags Radio Network ahead of the 2024 football season.

Jaguar Football will continue to be carried on iHeartRadio's Sports Talk 99.5 FM and 96.1 FM The Rocket, while all other broadcasts will originate from Sports Talk 99.5 FM. The upcoming season marks 10 years of South Alabama's partnership with iHeartMedia - Mobile.

"Ronnie Bloodworth and the great team at iHeart have been tremendous partners since day one, and I'm excited that our broadcasts will continue to air on their stations along the Gulf Coast" said assistant director of broadcasting JT Crabtree. "While our broadcasts will leave some markets in the traditional radio sense, every game will still be easily available nationwide on the free iHeartRadio app."

Crabtree will continue to handle play-by-play for all radio broadcasts, with former all-conference football student-athlete Chris May filling the full-time analyst role, ASWA hall of famer Tommy Hicks continuing as sideline reporter, and Bradley Moore serving as gameday host and engineer. Pat Greenwood will continue to be a part of select broadcasts.

The first broadcast of the academic year will be on Wednesday, Aug. 28 with the first airing of Jags Live!, the weekly fall coaches show live from Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux on Airport Blvd. The show is presented by EcoSouth Services, and will air weekly on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. CT until November 27. Crabtree and Greenwood will serve as hosts while joined by various coaches and student-athletes. Walk-On's will offer food and drink specials during the event.
