MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama Women's Soccer team will officially begin regular season play as they host the LSU Tigers this Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Jags will have a week break before they are back at it with a road match against Louisiana Tech on Thursday, August 22 at 6 p.m. Both games will be streamed with live stats being available as well.

South Alabama Notes
- South Alabama is coming off one of their best regular seasons in school history, posting a 16-1-3 record, going 8-0-2 to claim the Sun Belt Regular season title.
- The Jags return 11 from last year's roster including Preseason Sun Belt All-Conference honorees Amber Fortenberry, Monique Gray, and Irene Campo.
- South also welcomes in 15 newcomers, which include 12 freshmen and four transfers.
- This also marks year one of the Chris Hennessey era in Mobile, who comes from Lee University after a successful nine-year stint.
LSU Notes
- In the 2023 campaign, LSU racked up an 8-8-4 record, going 3-5-2 in conference play.
- LSU knocked off ninth-ranked Texas last year in a thrilling 3-1 victory.

- South is 1-5 all-time against LSU, with their one victory coming on November 14, 2015, in a 4-0 rout
