MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama women's golf head coach
Marcelo Huarte announced the addition of transfer
Emma Baier (Quito, Ecuador) on Wednesday. Baier, a transfer from Central Florida, will join the club for the 2024-25 season and have three seasons of eligibility.
Baier joins
Mercedes Aldana (Buenos Aires, Argentina),
Anna Behnsen (Horsens, Denmark),
Katelyn Foster (Mobile, Ala.),
Katharina Schroll (Vienna, Austria) and
Flavia Tamburlini (Saint Gollen, Switzerland), who signed with South Alabama last fall.
"We are excited to welcome Emma Baier, the newest addition to the Jag family," Huarte said. "Emma has experience competing at the highest level in Latin American events and represented her country as a member of the Ecuadorian national team. Throughout the recruiting process, it was evident that Emma is passionate about the game and motivated to be the best she can be. She is a hard worker and is eager to make her mark as a Jag. She will make a great addition and we can't wait to welcome her to Mobile."
