GADSDEN, Ala. | The South Alabama women's golf team will compete at the Chris Banister Golf Classic presented by Grub Mart held at the Silver Lakes Golf Course this week.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament is set to get underway on Sunday morning with the Jaguars paired with Northern Colorado and North Alabama on the par 72, 5,890-yard Backbreaker course.
Along with South Alabama and the host Gamecocks, the eight-team field includes Chattanooga, Illinois State, North Alabama, Northern Colorado, Queens College and Stonehill College.

The Jaguar lineup will feature
Malia Uyeshiro playing as the number one, followed by
Cassidy Lambert,
Grace Suter,
Icie Cockerham and Elise Riley. Riley is set to tee-off on hole No. 1 in Sunday's opening round at 10:50 am, followed by Cockerham at 11 a.m., Suter at 11:10 a.m., Lambert at 11:20 a.m. and Uyeshiro at 11:30 a.m.
South Alabama last competed at the event during the 2016-17 season, and this spring's participation will mark the eighth time that the Jaguars have participated at the event.
Suter is averaging a team-low 76.8 strokes per round, while Uyeshiro (77.7) is close behind her. Lambert leads the team with 37 birdies this season, while Suter has recorded 33.
