South Alabama battles on the road to a 4-3 win over Georgia State

ATLANTA, Ga. – After falling behind 3-1 at Georgia State, the Jaguars battled back to win the final three matches in singles action to claim the 4-3 win over the Panthers on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Panthers got on the board first with a win at number two doubles, where the duo of Francesca Miglio and Maria Paredes earned a quick 6-0 win over Nikola Novotna and Delien Kleinhans.
 
Georgia State took a 1-0 lead on the day with a 6-4 win from number one doubles, with the pairing of Pragnya Kumar and Alba Retortillo defeated Tereza Dejnozkova and Elysia Pool 6-4.
 
In singles action, Georgia State claimed four first set wins while South claimed the other two.
 
Georgia State extended their lead to 2-0 following a quick 6-3, 6-3 win from Francesca Miglio over Nikola Novotna at number three singles.
 
South Alabama got on the board with a win from Chems Doha Zeghlouli, winning 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) over Sara Radojevic from the number five spot.
 
Georgia State sat at 3-1 on the day with a 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 win from Pragnya Kumar, defeating Delien Kleinhans from number six singles.
 
South Alabama started their comeback with a win from Manal Ennaciri, beating Luciana Galvez 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at number four singles.
 
South evened the score at 3-3 with a comeback win from Tereza Dejnozkova at number one, claiming the 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Maria Paredes.
 
Elysia Pool earned her ninth win of the season on Saturday, clinching the match for the Jaguars with a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over Alba Retortillo.
