MOBILE, Ala.- South Alabama head coach
Chris Hennessey announced the addition of Lainey Curtis, Alexandra Grammenopoulos, Sofia Mastracci, Mackenzie Meyerer, and Victoria Roccio to the fall recruiting class.
Chris Hennessey on the fall class, "In my opinion, this class has significantly enhanced the team's overall quality. It brings together a diverse group of players, many of whom have competed at the highest levels throughout their careers Each athlete offers a distinct skill set and demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the caliber of this class so far and am excited to see the impact they'll have during their freshman year".
Lainey Curtis-Lakewood Ranch, Fla.- Defender
Lainey Curtis hails from Lakewood Ranch, Florida and will prove to be a valuable asset to the Jags backfield. Curtis played at Lakewood Ranch High School and played club for Tampa Bay United. Curtis brings another strong defensive presence to the Jaguars for the 2025 season.
Alexandra Grammenopoulos- Whitby, Ontario- Defender
Alexandra Grammenopoulos is another exciting member of the 2025 class for South. The defender from Whitby, Ontario adds more power to the defensive front that helped guide South to many crucial victories in the 2024 campaign.
MacKenzie Meyerer- Apopka, Florida- Defender
MacKenzie Meyerer is another face that the Jags are eager to add to the 2025 roster. Meyerer in her time at Apopka High School, has recorded 19 goals and 31 assists with 69 total points. Meyerer also spent time with Orlando City Youth Club.
Victoria Rocci-Vaughan, Ontario- Midfielder
Victoria Rocci is an exciting addition to the Jaguars offensive attack. The midfielder form Ontario brings with her a high level of experience as she competed in the CONCACAF Women's U-17 tournament for Canada. Rocci also played club for OPSM Collegiate-Network.
Sofia Mastracci-Richmond Hill, Ontario- Forward
Sofia Mastracci rounds out the 2025 fall recruiting class for South. Another Ontario native, Mastracci joins a roster that is heavily comprised of international students and is looking to provide South with even more offensive output. Mastracci played for Bill Crothers Secondary School and was a member of Vaughan Soccer Club.
