MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama women's golf head coach Marcelo Huarte announced the addition of Daniela Palmeros (Jersey Village, Texas) and McKenna Murphy (Longwood, Fla.) to the fall signee class.
"Our program has made great strides and broken several program records this fall season, thanks to our talented roster, which continues to build on its success and move closer to our goals and expectations," Huarte said. "This signing class will not only strengthen our current depth but also ensure that the Jaguar women's golf program is poised for continued success, both now and in the future.
"Daniela and McKenna are exceptional individuals who bring more than just impressive skillsets — they embody strong character and a positive influence that will enrich our team. I have no doubt they will be embraced by our current roster and play an integral role in further strengthening our Jaguar family."

- Lettered in golf at Jersey Village High School in Jersey Village, Texas
- Was a two-time district winner (freshman and junior) and won the regionals as a freshman
- Twice placed in the Top 6 at the state tournament (sophomore and junior)
- Career low round is a 66 and she was the first player at JVHS to make it to the state tournament all four seasons
- Currently ranked No. 107 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings
- Finished inside the Top 25 in five of her six events, including three Top 3 finishes
- Five AJGA top-15 finishes in 2023
- Competed at the 2023 FCG Callaway World Championship World Series where she placed second
- Finished as runner up at the AJGA New Orleans Classic in Summer 2024, her fourth career Top 5 finish on the AJGA, where she had five birdies in the final round and register a three-under 69
- Tied for fifth at the 2023-24 Texas 6A University Interscholastic League (UIL) Golf State Tournament after firing a two-round 144
- Since 2017, has won 28 events on the Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Tour
McKenna Murphy | 5-6 | Orlando, Fla. | Lake Mary Prep

- Lettered for the varsity squad at Lake Mary Preparatory School in Lake Mary, Fla., for six seasons
- Placed third at the 2023 district championship, while also placing second at the regional championship
- Was the low scorer for Lake Mary at the state tournament her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons
- Currently ranked No. 520 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings
- Won the 2024 U.S. Kids Teen Championship
- Posted two HJGT wins in 2024
- Tied for sixth at the AJGA Huntsville Junior in June 2024, and tied for 10th at Babygrande D.C. Classic (72-69-70—211) in July
- Recorded a final round 69 at the 2024 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball (5/11/24)
- Placed seventh at the FJT Duran Open (16-18) with a two-round 146 after carding an opening round 70
- Also competed at the FJT Country Club of Ocala Open (11th), FJT Indian Spring Open (T-12th) and FJT Pam McCloskey-Brosnihan Open (20th) over the last year
- Tied for 14th at the 95th Women's Amateur Championship – Mission Resort + Club – Las Colinas in May 2024
- Tied for 12th (75-70—145) in 1A at the 2023 Florida High School State Championship, helping Lake Mary Prep to a third-place team finish after recording a two-round (596)
- The score was tied for 21st best among all classifications at the state tournament event
- Won the 2023 FSGA Junior Team Championship and finished 15th at the 2023 USKG Series World Championship
- Earned medalist honors at the 2023 AJGA Preview at Panorama
- Ranked 54th in the 2022-23 Girls High School Golf National Rankings
- Tied for 10th at the 2021 AJGA Preview at Carolina Trace (Ages 12-15)
