MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama will return to action for the first time in nearly a month when it competes at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by Miami (Fla.) at the Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Fla.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament is set to get underway on Monday morning with a 7:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on the par 72, 6,175-yard course. Live scoring link for each round will be available on USAJaguars.com. South Alabama will be paired up with Iowa and Florida International and tee off on holes 6-10 in the opening round.
Along with the Jags and host Hurricanes, the 11-team field includes Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Iowa, Nebraska, North Florida, Stetson and Toledo. South Alabama will be paired up with Iowa and Florida International and tee off on holes 6-10 in the opening round.
Scheduled to compete for the Jaguars at the tournament are
Katharina Schroll (No. 1),
Mercedes Aldana (No. 2),
Malia Uyeshiro (No. 3),
Anna Behnsen (No. 4) and
Cassidy Lambert (No. 5).Â
Schroll (72.4), Aldana (72.9), Uyeshiro (73.1) and Behnsen (74.1) have been outstanding this fall. Aldana has fired a team-best five rounds at par or under, while Scholl has four, including two under 70, and a team-best 25 birdies. Behnsen also has two rounds of her own under 70, and has carded 19 birdies. The event will mark the season debut for Lambert.
