MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's basketball will play 12 of 13 conference opponents this season, seeing Troy, Louisiana, Southern Miss, ULM, Texas State, and Arkansas State in both home and away games.
Conference play begins on December 30, 2023 in Norfolk, Virginia against Old Dominion. The Jaguars will host Appalachian State, then Georgia State on Jan. 4 and Jan. 6, respectively, before visiting James Madison on Jan. 11 and Marshall on Jan. 13. South will welcome in-state rival Troy for the mid-week game on Jan. 18 before playing Louisiana at home on Jan. 20.
The Jags then begin a four-game road stretch beginning in Monroe, Louisiana facing ULM on Jan. 25. On January 27 South will face Troy before traveling to San Marcos to face Texas State for the first game in February on the 1st. For the final stop on the road trip, South Alabama stops in Lafayette to play the Ragin' Cajuns (Feb. 3).
South Alabama plays the only Wednesday conference game on Feb. 7 against Georgia Southern before taking a break from conference play with the MAC-SBC Challenge scheduled for Saturday, February 10.
The Jaguars continue their conference homestand hosting Texas State (Feb. 15), then Arkansas State (Feb. 17) before taking trips to Southern Miss (Feb. 22) and then Arkansas State (Feb. 24) for their final away games of the regular season.
To end the regular season, South plays the Golden Eagles on Feb. 28 and begins March in the Mitchell Center against ULM on Mar. 1. USA is not scheduled to face Coastal Carolina
The Sun Belt Conference Championship is scheduled for March 5-11, 2024.
