MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama hits the road again this weekend, traveling to Lamar on Friday, Sept. 1, and McNeese on Sunday, Sept. 3.
 
South's matchup with the Cardinals of Lamar will kick off Friday at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+ and South Alabama's match vs McNeese will kick off Sunday at noon.

South Alabama Notes

• The Jags are 4-0 to start the season, outscoring their opponents 19-1.
• Six Jaguars have scored multiple goals on the season, with Gabby Hollar leading the pack with four. Jasmine Greene is right behind her with three goals, while Chiara Singarella, Amber Fortenberry, Kailey Littleford and Melina Descary have two each.
• In addition to the multi-goal Jaguars, four other Jags have found the back of the net: Gracie Wilson Irene Campo, Monique Gray and Gabriela Angulo, moving the Jaguar goal-scoring total to 10 players on the season while 13 Jaguars have recorded points this season.
• South has 10 international student-athletes on the roster this year.
• South returns 14 from last year's roster, adding 13. 

Lamar Notes

• Lamar posted a 15-2-2 record last season, including a 10-1-1 conference record, which earned them the Southland regular season title. The squad then went on to win the Southland Tournament, earning them a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
• Lamar returns 16 members from last year's roster and adds 16 newcomers.
• Goalkeeper Nicole Panis was named to the United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers to Watch List, while defender Arely Alaniz was named a United Soccer Coaches Defender to watch.
• The Cardinals were picked to finish first in the Southland.

Series History vs Lamar

• South Alabama and Lamar are 1-1-1 all-time against each other. The two teams met last season and battled to a 0-0 draw at The Cage.  

McNeese Notes

• McNeese posted a 5-9-4 record a season ago, going 4-3-1 in Southland Conference play.
• The Cowgirls return 18 letterwinners and add 12 newcomers.
• McNeese has opened the season 1-3, beating Alcorn 6-0, but falling to Texas State, UTSA and Louisiana Tech.
• The Cowgirls are led by Kaile Kukaua, who has two goals on the year.

Series History vs McNeese

• The Jags are 3-1 all-time against McNeese, with the last meeting between a 7-0 win over The Cowgirls last season in Mobile.
