MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's soccer shared the wealth Sunday afternoon, with seven different Jaguars finding the back of the net in South's 8-0 win over Alcorn State in Thibodaux.

South Alabama found the goal early, with
Jasmine Greene scoring South's first goal of the day in the second minute of the match. Sophomore defender
Gabriela Angulo doubled the Jaguar lead in the 16
th minute, off an assist from
Monique Gray.
Â
Two more goals came in the first half for the Jaguars, with
Amber Fortenberry finding the back of the net in the 22
nd minute and
Kailey Littleford adding to the Jaguar lead in the 36
th minute, giving South the 4-0 advantage going into halftime.

South Alabama continued the scoring in the second half, tacking on four more goals to secure the 8-0 shutout. Newcomer
Melina Descary scored the first goal of the second half, nailing a penalty kick in the 52
nd minute. Greene scored her second goal of the day just a minute later off an assist from
Sydney Ham.

The last two goals of the day came back-to-back, with newcomers
Chiara Singarella and
Gabby Hollar both finding the back of the net within 2 minutes of each other.

Defensively, South Alabama held Alcorn State to zero shots, the first time since 2012 South has kept an opponent shot less. Â

South finished the day with 38 shots, 24 of them being on frame. The Jaguar offense was led by Greene, who had two goals, one assist and six shots. Â
