NEW ORLEANS, La. | Television information and kickoff times for the first three weeks of the season and select nationally televised games this fall were released by the Sun Belt Conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

South Alabama (10-3, 7-1 Sun Belt last season) opens the 2023 season on the road on September 2 against Cotton Bowl champion Tulane (12-2, 7-1 AAC) on ESPNU at 7 pm. The two teams have met twice since 2013, splitting the two meetings with Tulane winning 27-24 in the last meeting in 2020.

The Jags open the home portion of its schedule against Southeastern Louisiana (9-4, 5-1 Southland) on September 9 in the first meeting between the two schools. The Lions are coming off a year where they reached the second round of the FCS playoffs, and the game will kick off at 4 pm on ESPN+ inside Hancock Whitney Stadium.

South Alabama travels to Stillwater (Okla.) to face Oklahoma State (7-6, 4-5 Big 12) who appeared in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl last season. The meeting will be the third between the two schools, kicking off on September 16 at 6 pm, and can be seen on ESPN+ (Big 12 Now).

The Sun Belt released two other game times and networks featuring the Jags including the Tuesday night game against Southern Miss (7-6, 4-4 Sun Belt), the defending Lending Tree Bowl champions. The game will kick at 6:30 pm on ESPN2 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. The Jags will also face defending conference champion Troy (12-2, 7-1 Sun Belt) on Thursday, November 2, on the road with kick set for 6:30 pm on ESPN2.
