PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. | South Alabama women's tennis opened postseason play with a 5-0 win over Louisiana Wednesday night, advancing the Jags to the quarterfinals on Thursday.
 
South struck first in doubles action, getting a win from the duo of 
Chems Doha Zeghlouli and 
Otoha Aoki over Stephanie Atelius and Momoko Yoshimura, winning 6-2.
 
Louisiana evened the doubles score with a win at number one, where the duo of Carla Urchoeguia and Angelique Berrat got a 6-4 win over 
Luminita Tutunaru and 
Tereza Dejnozkova.
 
South Alabama took a 1-0 lead after clinching the doubles point thanks to a 7-6 win from the duo of 
Elysia Pool and 
Nikola Novotna.
 
In singles, the Jags started off the night by winning all six firsts sets, then went on be pefect in singles action.
 
Freshman 
Tereza Dejnozkova struck first for South Alabama, getting a quick 6-2, 6-0 win at number four over Cristina Tchanichev of Louisiana.
 
Delien Kleinhans put South up 3-0 with a win at number six, taking down Angel Santiago in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.  
 
The matches at three and five finished back-to-back, giving South Alabama the 5-0 win over Louisiana.
 
At number three, 
Nikola Novotna got a 6-1, 6-2 win over Lucie Raquin, while 
Chems Doha Zeghlouli earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at number five over Momoko Yoshimura to clinched the victory for South Alabama.  
 
South Alabama will advance to the next round and take on the number two seed James Madison, Thursday April 27 at 1 p.m. CT.
