ATLANTA, Ga. - Fifth Year OH Hannah Maddux was drafted to the Las Vegas Thrill with the 26th overall draft pick in the Pro Volleyball Federation's inaugural draft. Maddux led the South Alabama offense to the NCAA Tournament and was a 2023 First-Team All-Sun Belt selection. 

Maddux finished her 2023 campaign with 466 kills on a .258 hitting percentage, with 4.06 kills per set, which is third in the conference and 36th in the nation. Maddux also recorded 54 service aces, tied for 16th in Division 1. 

Maddux ends her career at South Alabama as one of the most prolific players in program history, finishing top-10 in career block assists and kills per set, and top five in total kills and total attempts, while also contributing to both of South Alabama's NCAA Tournament appearances. 

In accolades, Maddux earned back-to-back First Team All-Conference honors in 2022 and 2023, while also being named Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice in 2022, and Second Team All-Conference in 2021.

Taken as the fifth pick in the fourth round, Maddux will join the Thrill, the league's seventh team, in the inaugural season of the PVF. Vegas opens the season at the Omaha Supernovas on Wednesday, Feb. 7 as part of the 24 game season.
