COLLEGE PARK, MD. – After trailing by three points at the end of the first half, South Alabama men's basketball struggled to find rhythm offensively and fell to the Maryland Terrapins 68-55 Saturday night in College Park.
Julian Margrave had a strong showing, scoring 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field, while Isiah Gaiter scored double-digits for the seventh straight game, finishing with 17 points and five rebounds.
It was a tale of two halves as the Jaguars started the game strong, shooting 50 percent from the field and limiting the Terps to 39 percent from the floor, trailing by three points at halftime. Maryland would catch fire in the second half, totaling 36 points in the paint en route to victory.
Maryland had four starters finish with double figures in scoring, while no other players scored points in the contest. Julian Reese and Donta Smith scored 19 points each to lead the Terps.
