MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama returns home after two weeks away, hosting App State on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m., before hitting the road to in-state foe Troy on Sunday Oct. 8, at 1 p.m.

South Alabama Notes

• The Jags finished non-conference action 7-0-1, the first time in program history the Jags were undefeated in non-conference games.
• South outscored its opponents 29-3 in non-conference action.
• Chiara Singarella returned to the squad after missing two games due to international duty. Singarella was called up to the Argentina National Team for an International Friendly vs. Japan.
• Gabby Hollar leads the Jags with seven goals on the year.
• South Alabama is one of 9 teams still undefeated on the season, and the only Sun Belt team undefeated.
• The Jags are tied for 8th in the nation in win-loss percentage (.875).
• The Jags lead the conference in total goals (33), scoring offense (2.75), total points (95) and shots on goal per game (8.83).
• The Jags are also 14th in the nation in total goals, 7th in GAA (.417), 14th in scoring offense (2.75) and 4th in goal differential (28).

 
App State Notes

• App State is 5-3-3 on the year and 2-0-2 in Sun Belt action.
• App State returned eight starters from a season ago, including Izzi Wood, who leads the Mountaineers with five goals on the year and two in conference play.
• Mountaineer goalkeeper Kerry Eagleston has 34 saves on the year, and is holds the record for career saves in program history with 386.
• Eagleston has recorded six clean sheets this season, facing 111 shots and allowing just 8 goals. 

Series History vs. App State

• South Alabama is 11-1-1 all-time against App State, with the lone loss coming in 2016. The Jaguars and Mountaineers last met in 2021, with South winning 2-1.  

Troy Notes

• Troy is 5-6-1 on the season and 0-3-1 in Sun Belt action.
• The Trojans returned just four starters from a year ago and added 16 total newcomers.
• Troy is led by Gabrielle Chartier, who has five goals on the season.
• Troy has played three keepers this season, with the main starter being Rubie Kelly. Kelly has appeared in eight matches, allowing seven goals and recording three clean sheets.
• Troy's last win came on Sept. 3, in a 4-1 victory over Alabama State.

Series History vs. Troy

• South Alabama is 12-8-1 all-time vs Troy, with the last meeting being a 5-0 win for the Jags over the Trojans in Mobile a season ago.
