MOBILE, Ala. | Jalen Wayne, one of the most prolific receivers in South Alabama history, earned an invite to the 2023 NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis that will take place February 27 through March 6.
Wayne, a second team All-Sun Belt selection and a Reese's Senior Bowl selection, finished the season with 58 catches for 815 yards. He also hauled in nine touchdown receptions, a new single-season mark for South Alabama, and averaged 14.05 yards per reception.
For his career, he is third all-time in receptions with 152 behind
Jeremé Jones (157) and current Dallas Cowboy
Jalen Tolbert (178). He also finished second all-time in receiving yards with 1,978 trailing only Tolbert (3,140) in that category. Wayne ended his career with the Jags with 14 total touchdown receptions and four 100-yard receiving games.
