MOBILE, Ala. | The Sun Belt Conference released the 2023 conference football cross-divisional opponents on Thursday morning.

South Alabama (10-3 in 2022) will face Marshall inside Hancock Whitney Stadium next season and will go on the road to face James Madison. The Thundering Herd finished 9-4 last season, winning the Myrtle Beach Bowl, while James Madison finished 8-3 and tied Coastal Carolina atop the East Division.

The Jags will also have home games in 2023 against Arkansas State, Louisiana, and Southern Miss; while going on the road to face divisional foes Troy, Texas State and ULM. The cross-divisional opponents fill out the 2023 schedule that includes non-conference opponents Tulane (New Orleans, Sept. 2), Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 9), Oklahoma State (Stillwater, Sept. 16), and Central Michigan (Sept. 23).

Dates for each game will be announced on or before March 1 by the conference with the initial conference television selections in May.
