MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama wraps up its nonconference schedule this week with a pair of matches against Lamar and Texas A&M. South will host Lamar Thursday at 7 p.m. and will travel to No. 21/25 ranked Texas A&M on Sunday. Kick off for Sunday is set for 1 p.m. at Ellis Field.
The Jags are tied 1-1 in the series with Lamar, with the Cardinals claiming the last match 2-1.
The Jags and Aggies are meeting for the first time since 1994. Texas A&M won the only matchup between the two teams 3-0.
The Jags came out of week three with a 0-0 draw at Mississippi State and a 1-0 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday. South (4-0-2) is still undefeated in 2022.
Lamar defeated Louisiana 4-1 on Sunday and Texas A&M beat Illinois 1-0 and tied Ohio State 0-0.
Thursday's match is family night at The Cage. There will be $3 nachos, $2 drinks and $1 popcorn.
This week's matches wrap up nonconference play for the Jags. South kicks off Sun Belt play Sunday, September 18. They will host Georgia State at 1 p.m.
