MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama volleyball returns two letterwinners and one redshirt at setter for the 2022 season. The Jaguars open the 2022 campaign Fri., Aug. 26, at 9 a.m. against Ball State in Tampa, Fla. Fans can get their first look at this year's squad on Saturday when the Jags will hold a Red-Blue Scrimmage at 6 p.m. at Jaguar Gym.

RETURNING LETTERWINNERS (2)
- Kailey Keeble (5-8, Jr.) – 2022 Preseason all-Sun Belt Conference … Started all 32 matches last season … 2021 first-team all-Sun Belt Conference ... 2021 SBC Championship Most Outstanding Player and all-tournament team selection ... Led the SBC in assists (1,228), which ranked 16th nationally ... Ranked second in the league in assists per set (10.59), and 10th in total digs (354) ... Ranked second on the team in service aces (32) and service aces per set (0.28) ... Also recorded 73 kills, three solo blocks, 46 block-assists for 49 total blocks and a 0.42 blocks-per-set average.

- Alayna Maslinski (5-11, R-Sr.) - Appeared in 15 matches with one start last season ... Recorded four kills, seven assists, six service aces, 22 digs and one block-assist.

OTHER RETURNING PLAYERS (1)
- Anna Loberg (6-0, R-Fr.) – Sat out the 2021 season as a non-medical redshirt … 2021 DuKane Conference Player of the Year and 2021 Kane County Chronicle girls volleyball player of the year as a senior at Geneva Community High School in Geneva, Ill.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Keeble currently ranks second in career assists per set (10.59) at South Alabama. Her 10.59 assists-per-set average in 2021 ranks tied for second with Sandy Grisenti (1995) on the Jaguar single-season record list.
- Keeble enters this season tied for 11th in career double-doubles after recording 19 in 2021, which ranks second on the South Alabama single-season record list.
- Maslinski posted a season-high nine digs against Valparaiso on Sept. 4 last season.
- Keeble was named the SBC Setter of the Week on two different occasions last year:  Sept. 28 and Oct. 5.
- Loberg is one of three returners on the roster who redshirted the 2021 season.
