– South Alabama is coming off a series split at home with Louisiana as it dropped the first match (3-1), but took the finale, 3-2 on Saturday
– Dalayla Blackwell led the Jags in kills (29) and kills per set (3.22), while posting a .404 hitting percentage from the middle hitter position, in addition to recording 30.5 points and 3.39 points per set in the series
– Troy enters the weekend after sweeping Louisiana Tech in Ruston, 3-1 and 3-0, to extend its win streak to six
– Olivia Kwiatkowski and Kalina Calvillo each recorded double-digit kill tallies in both matches over Tech for Troy
– The Trojans also recorded 19 aces in the two matches in the series with the Bulldogs

•    Over the last seven matches, the middle hitter duo of Alivia Freeman and Dalayla Blackwell has combined for 133 kills (5.12 kps) and recorded a .384 hitting percentage 
•    Blackwell has finished in double figures offensively each of her last five matches, while Freeman has had seven or more kills five times, including two in double digits over the seven matches
•    Blackwell currently ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.380) and sits just outside the Top 10 in blocks per set as she is averaging 1.05 per set
•    Her 80 total blocks are ninth-most in the conference, while her 18 solo blocks are second-most in the SBC and her 62 block assists are tied for seventh
•    With Cambria Gaier out the past two Sun Belt series, Sarah Gooch has returned to her all-conference form as she has averaged 3.06 kps (49 kills) and 2.81 dps (45 digs) over the four-match stretch
•    Gooch has recorded double-digit kill tallies in each of her last three and recorded a double-double in two of the four matches
•    Freshman setter Anabelle Cerny has recorded 11 double-doubles this season, which are tied for 15th-most in a single season
