Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the win:
"I knew our guys would come out and fight. I didn't know we'd come out and score 21 runs, but I knew we weren't going to come out here and lose 11-2 today just by the fight that these guys have – even though they have experienced some tough times. I am super proud of our effort top to bottom. (Tyler) Lehrmann took the ball and we made some defensive miscues the last two games, and it almost hurt us today and got them (Texas State) back in the ballgame. You can't walk guys and give free bases to this team at this park. Miles (Smith) came in and quieted it down, and hopefully he will feel fine for next week. And (Jackson) Boyd was really good today. I was proud of our guys' effort."
