THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
- On today's performance:
"It was a very long day, we played for almost four hours. Today was a rough day. We had some guys play very well and other guys that had a bad day but that's college tennis. It's not like other sports where you can just give the ball to your top scorer and he carries the team on his back. We have to play on six courts. So, if you are having a bad day, you are out there by yourself. Some matches we did well and some matches we had a bad day and didn't win. I think we need to learn from today. Coastal is a team that is getting better and better. Chris [Powers] does a great job. Coastal Carolina's guys fought really hard. We won the doubles point and went into singles with the momentum. It looked like this was going to be a short match but Coastal fought back and give credit to them. They really took it to us and started winning one match at a time and then all of sudden the match started getting tight. Seb [Collard] and Louis [Delcour], our two captains, stepped up big time. They got us two big points at two big positions and I'm very proud of them. We need our captains and today they did a great job."

- On having a bad day and coming out with a win:
"If it was earlier in the season, I'd be happy. Winning ugly at the beginning of the season is good but this late in the season, days like today shouldn't happen. We had a couple of big matches last weekend and we tried to learn from them. Today, some guys made the same mistakes as last week or even worse. So, they took a step back. I'm not really happy about today and we really need to bounce back tomorrow."

UP NEXT
