South Alabama will return to action Sunday when it will attempt to sweep the three-game series from UTA at 1 p.m. at Stanky Field.

GAME FACTS
- USA jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Charles Middleton delivered a one-out RBI single to left field to score Will Turner, who reached on a single earlier in the inning. Hunter Stokes followed with an RBI single to right field to plate Miles Simington, who drew a one-out walk earlier in the inning, and double the Jag lead at 2-0. A hit by pitch to Santi Montiel loaded the bases before a wild pitch by UTA right-hander Cade Citelli allowed Middleton to score for a 3-0 advantage. Hunter Donaldson drew a walk to load the bases with one out for Cameron Tissue, who laid down a double-squeeze sacrifice bunt to the pitcher to score Stokes and Montiel for a 5-0 lead.
- Orbeta singled through the right side of the infield to lead off the bottom of the second, moved to second on a wild pitch and advanced to third on a lineout to right field by Turner. Simington followed with a one-out RBI single to center field to score Orbeta for a 6-0 Jag lead.
- Montiel reached on a hit by pitch to lead off the bottom of the third then stole second. Donaldson followed with a walk before a sacrifice bunt by Tissue moved both runners into scoring position with one out. Reid Powers drew a walk to load the bases with one out. But UTA right-handed reliever Jack Hagan rolled a 5-2-3 inning-ending double play to escape the jam.
- USA extended its lead to 9-0 in the bottom of fourth when Montiel lifted a 1-0 pitch from Hagan over the right-center field wall to score Middleton and Stokes, who reached on consecutive singles ahead of Montiel.
- UTA loaded the bases in the top of the fifth, and cut the Jaguar lead to 9-2 on a two-out, two-run single to first by Wilson Galvan.
- Simington reached on a hit by pitch to lead off the bottom of the sixth, and Middleton followed with a walk. A groundout to second by Stokes put both runners in scoring position with one out. Montiel then delivered a one-out, two-run double down the left field line for an 11-2 USA lead. Donaldson followed with an RBI single up the middle for a 12-2 advantage.

NOTES
- Simington extended his on-base streak to 15 games with a one-out walk in the bottom of the first.

- Montiel's fourth-inning home run marked his fifth in his last six games.
- Right-hander Collin Brougham tossed one perfect relief inning and recorded one strikeout.
- Stokes went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored, Middleton added two hits, one RBI and three runs, Tissue finished with one hit and two RBIs and Donaldson had one RBI.
- The win marked the Jags' 13th in their last 14 games.

Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the five-run first inning:
"You give Boz (Matt Boswell) a five-run cushion – I give him a lot of credit of not letting his guard down. It was early in the game, but our guys worked to get on. Tish (Cameron Tissue) had the big double-squeeze and we put five on them, it was good to get out in front."

- On Santi Montiel:
"He had a really good night tonight with five RBIs, and that ball he hit to right-center field was impressive; that ball was stuck. We'll need him. We have some guys who are seeing it well. The thing is the lineup is a little bit longer, so when some guys don't have great nights there are three or four guys who can step up. It's kind of been spread throughout the lineup. Last night it was (Charles) Middleton and tonight it was Santi. But some guys also coming up with some complimentary RBIs – they've been really good."
