JAG MEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS AT APP STATE

BOONE, N.C. – Marshall Kearing tied a career-high with 14 points but the University of South Alabama men's basketball team lost at App State 69-51 on Saturday at the Holmes Convocation Center.
 
Jay Jay Chandler scored 11 points and Charles Manning Jr. finished with 8 points to lead the Jaguar offense.
 
Adrian Delph posted a game-high 20 points for App State, while Justin Forrest had 13, Michael Almonacy added 12 and James Lewis Jr. chipped in 10 for the Mountaineers.

GAME FACTS
- Adrian Delph opened the game by hitting four triples as App State jumped out to an early 14-6 lead with less than 14 minutes to go.
- USA answered with an 8-2 run, sparked by a Diante Smith three-pointer to pull within two, 16-14.
- App State responded by scoring 14 of the next 19 points to take a 30-19 lead into the break.
- The Mountaineers started the second half on a 12-2 run, highlighted by two three-pointers from Forrest to expand the lead to 42-21.
