QUOTES
Head Coach Jesse Ortiz
-
On keys to the win:
"We wanted to make sure we were low error. Coastal Carolina is a very physical team. They get after it on the serve. We had to make sure we answered in serve receive, give ourselves opportunities to take attacks at them in serve receive and just work a rhythm of attack more than anything else."
-
On tomorrow's match:
"You get comfortable and feel like you did something (with tonight's win), and you just have to go back to zero-zero and get ready to scrap it out. That's a very good team. I have a lot of respect for that group, and (CCU head coach) Jozsef (Forman) does a great job. It's going to be a dogfight tomorrow too, and we're ready for it."
- On the success at home this season:
"We have great fans in Jag Gym who take care of us. We have a raucous crowd every single time. Our cheer group is great and our fandom is great. They come and get ready for it as well, and we just love that. They really help us."
Setter Kailey Keeble

On the win:
"It's a huge win, especially coming off of last weekend. We needed this as a team. We worked really hard in practice this week. We didn't really feel like we got after it in those two games last week, so everybody was pretty motivated and ready to grind today."

On keys to the win:
"Definitely a shout out to the passing game. I thought it was really fantastic. They really dialed it in for me; I didn't have to do much, they made my job pretty easy. And when you have hitters like Morgan (Stalcup), Niki (Capizzi), Hannah (Maddux) and (Maddie) Soboleski, you can pretty much throw up anything and they're going to hit it. So it was just a combination of passing and awesome hitting that we had tonight."
