QUOTES
Head Coach Jesse Ortiz
- On the win:
"I thought we were rolling pretty good the last two days. That's a formidable team, they have a lot of arm speed and a lot of great players on that squad. Their coach (Josef Forman) does a great job. We knew at some point they (Coastal Carolina) were going to wake up, and they definitely did in those two sets."
- On the three seniors Rachel Hickey, Alayna Maslinski and Morgan Stalcup:
"Pretty special to me. They took a chance on me when I was first building this program up and they were all in. They came here when it wasn't as cool at the time. They believed in us and what we were looking to do, and I'm just pumped that we were able to make this what it is right now. It's pretty awesome. I'm proud of my group, but I'm really grateful for the three of them."
- On where the team stands entering the final week of the regular season:
"I feel like we're one of the best teams in the Sun Belt (Conference), no doubt about it. At the end of the year you have to beat good teams to be the best, and we're geared up for it (James Madison series). We have a great matchup against a team that's been tearing up the conference in JMU. They have good coaches and a good squad; I'm looking forward to that one for sure."
