NEW ORLEANS, La. | South Alabama defensive back Jaden Voisin was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in a 27-20 victory over Southern Miss on the road on Saturday.

The sophomore safety finished with a career-high 17 tackles including six solo stops in the road win that kept South Alabama (9-2, 6-1 Sun Belt) in the race for the Sun Belt Conference West Division. He also finished with 11 assisted tackles, and 1.5 tackles for loss, and recorded an interception returning it 14 yards to start the second half for the Jags.
