QUOTES
Head Coach Jesse Ortiz
- On the loss:
"I like how we fought. I'm proud of the group for doing that. You have to test yourself and keep working against good teams so you can level up, and I thought we did that. I was absolutely proud of them and how they responded and kept on fighting to the very end. JMU is a tremendous team, and a great addition to our Sun Belt Conference. Kudos to them, they were better today and they've proved why they are the regular-season champions this weekend. They are really good."
- On where the team stands entering the SBC Championship:
"It's tough to lose, but I do like how we've matched up this year. Obviously, winning the regular season and the tournament last year was great, but at the end of the day we want to win the tournament so we can go into the NCAA tournament. I like where we're at, and I like our mentality and fight. I think we'll be ready for the rounds to come, so I'm excited for it."
