QUOTES
Head Coach Jesse Ortiz

- On the win:
"I thought we served really well, and passed extremely well tonight. We love playing in this gym; it's just amazing. All of our fans were out and were constantly cheering us on, and I just feel like this is an environment we're extremely comfortable in. They just love getting up for this place, so it's pretty awesome. Especially since the (2021 Sun Belt Conference champions) banner got unveiled tonight. We really wanted to come out here and make a statement."

- On the team's progression:
"We're just getting into the rhythm of the season. We're just under the halfway point of our conference schedule, and we're just firing on all cylinders. Obviously, getting Maddie (Soboleski) back is big for us; she's a great arm. And we have a few other players on the bench who could be out there and doing the same. It's an awesome thing for me as a coach to watch my group grow and thrive. I'm excited about us right now for sure."

Outside Hitter Maddie Soboleski
- On the win:
"We've been looking forward to this night for a while – ever since last year. They (Louisiana) are a good team. But we had a good week of practice this week. It was my first game back (since injury), and I'm just really grateful for all of my teammates supporting me. Coach Jesse (Ortiz) always says serve and pass wins the game, and that's what we dominated in tonight."
