Today's performance against Samford:
"It was a good win today and a big improvement from last night. The problem last night was just a lack of energy and enthusiasm from the bottom of the lineup. Today, we did much better. It's always hard when you play the first three matches and it is tough for those guys to get back on the court and do what you have to do. But, sometimes that is just what you have to do. It was a problem last night but we fixed it today. Our guys four through six had a really good warmup and were ready to go early in the match. They were able to continue the momentum that we had going. We knew that Samford was pretty good in doubles. We knew that if we were able to take the doubles point away from them, it would be a big blow. We played great in doubles and were winning on all three courts. We made a statement and I'm really proud of the guys for that. When we got into singles, we just played hard. Louis [Delcour] played tremendous tennis. He was all over the court, he was extremely loud and he played almost a perfect match to put us up 2-0. Jack, even though he was injured, had to pull this one through for us and he definitely did. It was tough for him to finish but he dug deep and got us another point. We had an excellent battle on court one. Samford's guy is a really tough player to play, and he battled really hard to win. The guys in the back went on the court and started fighting like crazy. I felt like we could have won the remaining points. So, that's a good feeling to have that you can get a win. I'm really happy with today and it was our third match in 24 hours. It could have been very easy for us to have excuses and fatigue. I'm very proud of our guys and we are going to take a few days off. It is well earned and then get back to practice."
