Head Coach Richard Moodie
On the returner Allison Luckhardt: "Allison was introduced into the lineup during the penalty shootouts of the quarterfinal game that we won and hasn't looked back since. She's developed a lot over her time here, and takes her training seriously and has a purpose behind what she does. She's a great person to be around and she leads by example."
On the goalkeeper's role: "We need a voice back there, ever since we lost Justice Stanford we've lacked that vocal leader."
On the strength of the position: "As the season went on I think they got better with the ball at their feet and it's been their biggest strength. Ultimately, we have an amazing shot stopper in Allison Luckhardt and she's grown and developed. The biggest strength for us has been the growth mindset in those areas."
On the newcomers: "Carly Williams coming in hasn't played Division I collegiate soccer so she will need to adjust to this level of play. We also signed Jaidy Gutierrez who is someone we think that will come in a stir the pot so it will be interesting to see how that plays out."
Allison Luckhardt
On the upcoming season: "I'm excited for the schedule this season. We have a lot of good teams coming up and I'm excited to see conference opponents again after the tournament last season."
On her personal goals: "Whatever helps the team best is fine with me, we did leak a lot of goals last season so limiting that will be a focus this fall."
On the newcomers: "It's been nice meeting them and everyone gets along well. It makes me excited for the upcoming season."
Jaidy Gutierrez
On her personal goals: "I want to bring a championship home with my team."
On the transition to South Alabama: "The language and culture is different and it's a new challenge for me."
