QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
- Opening Statement:
"Congratulations to the South Florida club, they are outstanding. They won two really tough tournaments two weekends in a row. They played a little bit better than us today. If you're a fan, you got your money's worth watching these two teams play. We wish them all the best in the Super Regional in Austin. They are a very good club, they're coached well and they have some tough kids."

- On the Game one win over USF:
"It was very unconventional with the rain delay and having to come back. (Matt) Boswell gave us four good innings, and (Tyler) Perez gave us five. We jumped out and scored a couple of runs, and we held on. Our backs were against the wall. It's really hard when you're in the loser's bracket; you have that one more game to play than everyone else in this kind of setting. Our guys kept showing up. We lost 1-0 (to Miami) and could have easily been in the winner's bracket, but we weren't. Our guys just fought like crazy to get us to the championship game, and we had to win or our season was over."

Left fielder Ethan Wilson
- On USF right-hander Orion Kerkering:
"He had a pretty good slider. Obviously his fastball had some velocity to it. He was a good pitcher, he's one of their dudes. He filled up the zone and didn't really allow us to get any free passes. We ended up kind of getting to him the second time around, but he has pretty good stuff."

- On his catch:
"I knew he hit it good, I could tell by the way it came off his bat. Shout out to Mike (Sandle), he told me to reach and I just got lucky with my timing. I timed it out well and made the play on it. It's definitely a first for me. I feel like it kind of shifted the momentum toward us, and that was a good thing. It was fun to do that for the team."
