The Jaguars opening round opponent is one that USA has never met on the pitch, Colorado.

The team out of Boulder, Co., went 9-5-2 over the fall-postponed spring schedule. Out of the 16 games, 13 were against the PAC-12 with a pair of conference opponents, Washington and Utah, playing matches against the Buffs that did not count against the conference record.

Colorado started the spring campaign against former Sun Belt power Denver with a 1-0 win over this year's Summit league champion.  In other out of conference matches, UC defeated Northern Colorado and Weber State in the following two weeks.

The Buffaloes are undefeated in their last four matches, including a two-nil win over #17 Arizona State on April 11.

While Colorado boasted a 6-2-1 home record this year, the Buffs were 3-3-1 in away matches. This match will be the first neutral site game for UC.

THEY SAID IT
Head coach Richard Moodie

- State of the team: "First and foremost, we are so happy to be here. There are only 48 teams still playing. I'd be lying I didn't say the goal is to be in the national tournament every year, but I would also be lying if I said the goal isn't to win in the first round. We know at this level we are going to have a great team to play, and it's a great team in Colorado. The focus is where have we learned in the spring, we had a tough schedule in the spring against tough competition and we had some good moments, but now it's can we put together those moments against Colorado. We looked great in practice and we are happy to be a part of the tournament."
