THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu

- On today's performance: "Once again, it was a very long battle, and I wouldn't expect anything less. It's a big rivalry and today was another example of that. I give credit to Georgia State because they really fought hard and rose to the occasion.

"In doubles, we were winning on two courts easily, and one match just slipped through our fingers. The doubles point should've been ours, but we just let it get away.

"In singles, we were winning on five courts. This match should have been one way, but at the same time, that's tennis.  We took control of everything, but in the end, we just couldn't close it. We'd go up a break and then give it back. We were up 5-2 in a set, and we couldn't close it.  It's very frustrating when we make key mistakes and just give the break back.

"Even though it was a great battle, I'm very disappointed today. We need to regroup because we have Georgia Southern tomorrow. We need to work on closing matches, closing sets and keeping the lead. Georgia State took advantage of us having a bad day and took us down, so credit to them. We'll definitely see them again in a few weeks in the conference tournament, and we'll be ready."
