Head Coach Matt Luther
- On opening the fall season:
"We're looking forward to just knocking off the rust and remembering how to do the simple stuff that we do, and getting back into team and competitive golf. In hosting this week, we're the only tournament in the country. I'm as concerned with making sure the tournament goes well as sort of a blueprint of here's how you can do it. I definitely feel a lot more pressure there than scores."
- On the challenges of hosting a tournament during the COVID-19 pandemic:
"We're having to deal with social distancing, and there is no blueprint for this. Fortunately, golf has been going on at a lot of levels – junior and amateur levels. We as a University and conference didn't have to write the rules from scratch, but we had to put them in a team-golf framework that was a little challenging. I think we have a good plan. Our administration has been super supportive and helpful, so just managing that aspect of things is going to be a big deal for us this weekend."
